Super Hewa Khola Hydropower Project is a 6 MW Run of River (ROR) type project located at Hewa Khola, between Chainpur and Panchkhapan Municipality of Shankhuwasava District, Koshi Pradesh, Nepal. Situated near Chinpur, one of Nepal's oldest Newari towns, this project represents a commitment to clean and sustainable energy.
The project's headworks (Intake/Decanter) are located at Oringa, with the flushing gate of the headrace at Oringa Khola. The headrace and penstock pipeline runs at least 3 km through Bansghari, incorporating a gravel basin and advanced sediment management systems to ensure long-term operational efficiency.
With a design discharge of 2.20 m³/s at Q42.5%, including Khawa Khola collection at the headworks, the project is engineered to maximise annual energy generation reliably throughout the year.
